Seven years ago, I set out with a mission: to elevate men’s grooming in Alaska and help our community look and feel their best. Because of your trust, AK Lady Barber became more than a barbershop — it became a place where friendships grew, stories were shared, and “Keeping Alaska Handsome” became something we lived every day.
This past year brought a new challenge as I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. As I navigate this new season of life and reflect on my purpose and future, I have made the very difficult decision to retire at the end of 2025.
But here’s the good news — Palmer will continue to have a great barbershop.
On January 2nd, the shop will reopen with a new name and new ownership, but the same familiar barbers who have taken care of you over the years. The team will continue offering the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere you’ve come to expect.

Sherri knows that, while Alaska men may be no-nonsense and hard working, they still like to look and feel handsome. Well over a decade ago, she changed careers and followed her dream to become a hair stylist. After being in the industry, she quickly realized there was a real need for men’s grooming services. She wanted to create the level of service men experienced in traditional barbershops and make them feel like gentlemen. For Sherri, being a barber is not only about great hair, but also allows her to contribute and show her love for her Alaska community.

Morgan Jones is a fifth-generation Texas Native who finally made his way to the biggest state! Excited to contribute to the local community, Morgan takes his craft seriously and wants everyone who leaves his chair to walk away feeling confident. He loves to listen to his clients' stories and to help them create the look they desire. Some of his favorite things include getting outside with his family, fast motorcycles, and a good steak.
